Band, 1986-1995 DK
Rock
Invocator was an early progressive thrash metal band from Denmark that formed in 1986 under their original name Black Creed. They recorded a couple of demo tapes and played gigs with Edge Of Sanity and Entombed before signing a deal with the Swedish label Black Mark Production. Their debut album Excursion Demise sold around 10000 copies in Europe. After the second album they opened up for Paradise Lost on their European tour in 1994. They broke up in 1995 but in 2000 founder Jacob Hansen reformed the band with a new line-up. This resulted in the 2003 album Through The Flesh To The Soul released on Italian label Scarlet. The band is now on an indefinite hiatus.
