Romanian actor, writer ✰ February 12, 1891, Botoșani ✞ March 12, 1968, București Graduated Hischool from Iași 1910 begin his studies with Ion Livescu at “Conservatory of Dramatic Art”, București 1915 his debut as actor - “Alioșa” in theatre play “Azilul de noapte” by Maxim Gorki, directed by Paul Gusti, with actors Petre Sturdza, C.I. Notarra, Aristizza Romanescu, etc During World War II along side George Enescu, Mărioara Ventura, Constantin Tănase visit hospitals with wounded war for singing, reciting or acting Ion Manu starts writing poems and couplets sung by the great operetta singer Mărioara Cinsky or by famous singer Elena Zamora and actress Natalița Pavelescu. During his life he wrote poems, couplets, sketches, scripts for comic radio shows, radio plays and especially epigrams,
