American producer, songwriter, and label owner from Detroit, Michigan. Micahnik established a business partnership with Harry Balk, and the pair set up Embee (2)/Embee Productions and Twirl Records in 1959. The pair also managed a publishing company Vicki Music, a talent agency Talent Artists, and licensed much of their work to labels such as Warwick and Bigtop. The pair notably produced Del Shannon's hit single Runaway as 'An Embee Production'. Micahnik's writing credits are usually under the alias of Ira Mack
