A.k.a. Исаак Абрамович Жук
Isaac Zhuk (1902–1973) was a Soviet violinist, first violin in Bolshoi Theatre Quartet (1931–1968) and father of Valentin Zhuk. He had been playing at Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra from 1928 to 1952 (concertmaster since 1930), and acted as a concertmaster-soloist in the USSR State Symphonic Orchestra (1952–1969). Zhuk became the first musician in the Soviet Union to perform Karol Szymanowski and Vissarion Shebalin violin concertos.
