Singer / Composer of Latin and Pop
A.k.a. María Teresa Villegas Garcés
María Teresa Villegas Garcés (Cali, March 22, 1953) better known as Isadora is a singer and composer of Colombian ballads. It is recognized for belonging to the group The clan club. Isadora began singing at age 5 because of the influence of her mother, a professional singer and housewife who loved classical music. Orphaned by her father and mother since she was 14 years old, she had to work from a very young age and at 17 she already had experience as a secretary in the World Health Organization. Then he decided to follow his musical instincts and entered the Departmental Institute of Fine Arts to educate his voice and Universidad del Valle to study music. Along with Fernando Parra and Pedro Chang, he created El Grupo, a group that recorded several albums with Sonolux. With the first, titled Isadora, they made themselves known, and the second, Llamarada, was a national success. In his career he has published 13 albums of romantic ballads and five of spiritual music that, according to the singer, served to change his life. He moved away from the stage, the novels and plays like Surprised, which at the time triggered his popularity. Now, convinced that she must "live with her feet on the ground and her hands in heaven," she returns with two important projects: her new production, entitled De Amores y Desamores -a compilation and reproduction of her greatest successes such as Tenlo present o You were right- and its Valor-Arte Foundation, which with crafts, songs and dance seeks to strengthen the social skills and mental health of children.
