A.k.a. Ismael Peña Poza
Spanish musician born in 1936, in Torreadrada (Segovia). He lived in Paris between 1960 and 1970 singing folk songs and old music from XV-XVI centuries. He recorded his first album in 1963, winning the "Grand Prix du Disque" from Paris' "Academie Charles Cros" with his first album "Canciones del Pueblo - Canciones del Rey". Back in Spain he recorded some album based on poets, as Alberti, Neruda..., and directed a TV series, "La Banda del Mirlitón", dedicated to folk music. He owns one of the more complete folk instruments collections in Spain.
