Born: May 29, 1920, Budapest, Hungary Died: November 16, 1986, Budapest, Hungary Hungarian composer, musicologist and music critic. He studied music in the national conservatory (1942 to 1943), then in the Franz Liszt Academy of Music from 1945 to 1948. He was the co-editor of Zenei Szemle, a Hungarian music journal from 1946 to 1949. In 1962 he joined the Hungarian music publishing company, he was the editor until 1970. He published numerous essays, articles, critiques and reviews in national and foreign journals.
