Flyme is a dj and producer of the italian soul, funk, disco and house scene. He’s the “soundman” in the jazzy-funk, prog-rock band “291out”, with some of the elements of he produces music with and performs live. He’s also one half of the classic house project “Starsgarage” (with Andrea Modena). Flyme starts his dj career in ’97, playing mostly in private parties, bar and small clubs, in which he played deep and soulful house and disco music. Since 2003 he releases his own music: unreleased tracks, remixes, re-edits and compilations with the name of “Starsgarage”, becoming a reference point in the Milan’s “House” and “Disco/Nu Disco” club scene. The obstinate “research for the sample” has, since time, got Flyme close to funk and soul in the most “darken” shapes and execution modes: grooves, breaks, edits and soundtracks are indeed, among the others, fundamental elements in his “classic sets” Of uncertain definition are his “wild” free-style dj set, some real “musical journeys” (hence the name) between different genres, speeds, styles: he evokes a warm voice’s magic, after a hypnotic electric piano solo, on a dirty rhythm. His passion for the club is counterweight only by that for the jam: it’s indeed not unusual to find him at the controls performing with his musicians in personal “gravity 0″ live sets.
