Ivo Pukanić

Ivo Pukanić (January 21, 1961 – October 23, 2008) was a Croatian journalist and the editor of the popular Croatian political weekly Nacional. Pukanić was born in Zagreb. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Zagreb in 1983, after which he started working for the publisher Vjesnik as a photographer for two of their magazines, Start and Studio. Pukanić was assassinated on October 23, 2008, at 6.10 p.m. local time by a bomb planted on a motorcycle parked next to his parked Lexus LS600hL in the center of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
