Jærrock is a rock band from the district called Jæren in Rogaland, Norway. The group was started in the mid '70s by Asgaut Steinnes, Torstein Obrestad, Kjell Gudmestad, Trond Gudmestad, Jarle Obrestad and Kjell Madland. As of 2008, the group consists of Asgaut Steinnes, Torstein Obrestad, Kjell Gudmestad, Trond Gudmestad and Arne Bekkeheien. Jærrock mainly plays original songs, where Asgaut Steinnes writes most of the lyrics and Torstein Obrestad writes most of the music.
