A.k.a. Jean-Bedel Mpiana wa Tshituka

Born June 2, 1967 in Luluabourg (now Kananga) in the center of Congo Kinshasa (DRC), JB Mpiana grew up in the capital Kinshasa where he founded in 1981, with a group of friends, Wenge Musica. This adept ndombolo training was then composed of Didier Masela (bass), Patient Kusangila, Alain Makaba, Alain Mwanga Zing-Zong (guitars), Désiré (keyboards), Titina Al Capone, Maradona (drums), Werrason singers, Adolphe Dominguez , Blaise Bula}, Alain Mpelasi, Marie Paul, Manda Chante, Aime Bwanga ... He will stay there until 1997, the year of the split of the band. From then on, he decided to launch Wenge Musica BCBG, with some survivors (Alain Makaba, Blaise Bula, Alain Mpelasi), joined by singers Roberto Ekokota, Tutu Kaludji and Aimélia Alias. As for the others, they will found their own groups, with the common denominator "Wenge": [a=Adolphe Dominguez (Wenge Tonya Tonya), Didier Masela (Wenge Musica 4x4), Marie Paul (Wenge El Paris), Aime Bwanga (Wenge Kumbela), Manda Chante (Wenge Reference) or Blaise Bula (Wenge Weighting 8) ... As for Werrason, he goes up to Wenge Musica Maison Mère, illustrating particularly with Intervention rapide (1998), an album faithful to ndombolo.]
