World
The music of JEMM Music Project leads us to remote places beyond the vastness of blue horizons into the rollicking rhythms of dancing feasts and sometimes up into the deep vibrating serenity of peace and meditation. The tactful interplay of percussions and drums tells us in a poetic and razor sharp way about hollowed out tree trunks and the rhythmic vibration of nature; the flute in its long drafts about the whispering wind somewhere up in the mountains; and the Steel Pan and Hang with their metallic bodies about the sunny and sounding cheer of tropical islands, the sea, and warm coastlines. Everything is framed by an all-embracing bass. Here the stomach becomes the most sensitive acoustic organ.
