Having accrued well over 200 DJ gigs to date and a handful of residencies, Jack! Who? aka Iain James Kirk is known for his sets that blend genres with hypnotic beginnings, rhythmic middles and powerful endings, creating a musical experience for the listener that captivates their mind and feet in the same instance. Beginning a musical journey with inspiration from his Grandfather teaching and composing music, then seeing his brother, Lone Wolf known around the world for his unique style of dub step production and superior scratching skills, he is continuing a musical family legacy in the chosen form that is Techno. 2007 saw the inception of a nationally recognised club night called By Royal Appointment aka B.R.A. in his hometown Sunderland (UK) that featured in DJmag and Mixmag as once the third best club night in the North, beating established names like Habit, Louche and Ketoloco for example, was where the journey really began. Since progressing a true passion onto a worldwide scale and launching his Death Techno project in 2010, the brand continues to grow with over 10,000 followers on social media. Featuring guest sets from Derek Plaslaiko, Tim Xavier, Electric Indigo, Miss Sunshine, Marika Rossa, Joachim Spieth, Niereich for example, along with many other talented underground artists and DJs. It is aired bi-weekly Exclusively on soe.fm in Germany and shortly thereafter with Seance Radio in the UK and Digitally Imported’s “Underground Techno” channel. A consistently rising success of the mix show climaxed in the emergence of a label named DEAD CERT. Records in 2013, created with long time friend, producer and label owner William Welt. The imprints focus is discovering and nurturing new talent, allowing expression with no boundaries to ensure creativity and freedom, releasing a variety of techno styles. Music released has included mega producers like Audio Injection, Hans Bouffmyhre, Joachim Spieth, Eomac, Rich Jones and more. To say it has sky rocketed to the forefront of many A-list artists attention is an understatement, where their catalogue of tracks thus far have already been played and charted by huge names such as Dave Clarke, Alan Fitzpatrick, Pig&Dan, Rebekah, Luigi Madonna, Cari Lekebusch to name but a few... “…inspire and be inspired.” - Jack!
