Jack Dyer was an Australian rules football player of great renown. He played 312 games for Richmond between 1931–1949, and coached from 1941–1952. Dyer also provided commentary with co-host Ian Major as "The Captain and The Major" for radio station 3KZ (later known as KZ-FM when the station moved to FM in 1990).
