Jack in the Box was a Norwegian heavy metal band formed by brothers Rune and Frode Lamøy in 1990. Per Kirknes joined on bass and Eric Si on vocals shortly after. They recorded a few demos before the band was discovered by TNT guitar player, Ronnie Le Tekrø which released their first EP "Rockjumping" in 1993. Jack in the Box released "Stigma" in 1995 with Victor Borge replacing Per Kirknes on bass. It recieved positive reviews and was featured in Kerrang! with a score of 5 out of 5 K's. A low budget video for the song "French Fries For Breakfast" was produced and this was one of few Norwegian music videos to be seen on MTV at the time. The band ended in 1997 when Rune, Frode and Victor formed Autopulver. The band did a reunion gig in Drammen on November 5th, 2010 before breaking up in December to pursuit other projects. Around the same time, the band re-released "Stigma" with "Rockjumping" and a few demo versions off "Stigma" as bonus tracks.
