Jacques Wyrs

Celebrated surrealist "sci fi" artist whose paintings adorn many album covers of the 1970s. Jacques Wyrs was born in Berlin in 1938, moving to Karlsruhe from 1948 to 1956, where he took courses in painting at the Art Academy. In 1957 he moved to Paris after which he did most of his famous work. Wyrs died in 1988 and his life's work includes more than 400 pieces, mostly paintings, of which more than 50 feature on album and book covers.
