On June of 2009 James McDougall and David Vélez started working on a project where each one will do a number of pieces, exchange them and create a piece using each other’s material: David would use James’ pieces to create his piece and James would use David’s pieces to create his own piece. The result is “Sonoridades industriales” -Industrial sonorities- a 39 minute release based on the artists’ strong memories of their experiences working/living near industrial zones at certain points of their lives. Sonoridades industriales was made using field recordings taken in industrial zones in South East Queensland, Australia (James’ hometown) and Orlando, Florida where David traveled in the summer.
