Jamie ‘Wamie’ McDermott is a producer and DJ from the Midlands, UK. As a writer and composer of popular music he has worked his way up the industry gaining the respect of many DJ’s, producers and labels alike. His first single, ‘Pianotight’, made it’s way onto Cr2 Records (UK) where it received great support worldwide. With a top 5 beatport house chart placing for five consecutive weeks and support from the likes of James Zabiela, Nick Fancuilli, Dave Spoon, Kissy SellOut, Annie Mac and Stonebridge the track went from strength to strength proving it was a timeless classic. As a producer, Jamie also writes for various artist’s and companies composing a diverse range of music from pop to funk and classical to R’n’B. His services have been commissioned by companies looking for their own unique sound to compliment a branding or marketing campaign. Since leaving music school five years ago, Jamie has worked with record labels such as EMI, Ministry of Sound, AATW and 3beat Records remixing and producing under the name ‘Jamie Wamie’ and other pseudonyms. Most recently he has remixed for Born To Dance Records (UK), including remixes for Reza & Jonathan Ulysses track “We Shall Prevail” and Paul Emanuel & Gav McCall featuring Katherine Ellis’ track “Gotta Get Through”, as well as a remix of “In The Moment” by the Bassmonkeys and Abigail Bailey on Discopolis Recordings.
