The release (or non-release!) of Lifeline is probably the strangest release for Jamiroquai. Originally announced as being released on 23 January (a Sunday) as part of a press release announcing April 2011 UK tour dates the release date was put back to the 31 January. This date came and went and there was no sign of any single to purchase - iTunes/Amazon/HMV etc. only had the track as part of the Rock Dust Light Star album available to purchase. On 4th February the Universal Music online store had a 4.40 minute (i.e., the album version) available to purchase. No other online stores had the single available to purchase and naturally the track failed to chart in the UK Top 100 singles that week.
