The four Szymanowski Mazurkas come from BBC studio recordings made in 1961 and 1962. The remainder, made privately by friends in the United States between 1942 and 1947, are by no means technically perfect, but still provide a precious testimony to Smeterlin's art. Produced by Scripglen Ltd. Released by arrangement with BBC Research.
