One of Denmarks major music-entrepreneurs over the last three decades with several labels to his credits and major roles in international record-labels. Began his music business career owning the booking agency PDH, then in 1979 formed his first label, the independant Better Day Records that was among the first danish label to sign punk bands. In 1981 Degner sold the label to CBS and was hired himself by CBS where he advanced to danish CEO before he in 1988 started his second label Pladecompagniet in collaboration with Anne Linnet. That label was very succesful and signed several major danish artist until it was sold to Sony Music Entertainment (Denmark) in 1994. After first becoming CEO of Sony Denmark, Degner once again took a new turn and in 2002 co-formed the arts and entertainment publisher/label/agency hybrid ArtPeople.
