Musician / Composer / Producer of Jazz
Slovak jazz bassist, producer and composer. Born 30 July 1950 in Bratislava (former Czechoslovakia). He emigrated to Germany in 1968, during the Prague Spring, and has subsequently collaborated with numerous international jazz musicians, among others with Benny Goodman, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Waters and Jaco Pastorius. In 1974, he and his wife Gertraud Jankejová founded the Jazzpoint Records label which is known for its recordings in the swing, bebop and fusion area of jazz.
