Jan Savitt And His Orchestra
W.P.A.

Album US 1940 on Decca label
Jazz

Banned / Withdrawn (June 1940) This was banned by the big 3 radio networks and withdrawn from circulation by Decca because the Roosevelt administration believed the lyrics on W.P.A were "un-american". This censorship also happened with a Decca Skeets Tolbert and a Louis Armstrong disc with the same W.P.A. tune.
