Musician of Jazz
Jan Strinnholm, Swedish jazz pianist, raised in the northern part of Ådalen, has a long past as a jazz pianist. In the 50's, he played jazz piano on the Norrland dance courts and later moved to Uppsala, where he combined the game with studies and research. After completing his studies and doctorate, he could more purposefully work with the music and took the solo field as a challenge and a personal expression. John Strinnholm has in his piano style combined influences from Art Tatum. Bill Evans, John Coltrane and Keith Jarrett. In addition, music outside the jazz area has had a major impact on his musical education.
