The nine Kurzweil etudes composed 1986. Sound Sculptures, Romance and Creati were all composed on the Synclavier Digital Music System at Middlebury College's Electroacoustic Studio. Creati inspired by a kinetic sculpture at LaGuardia Airport in the summer of 1985. Some copies include promotional leaflets for Avataric Impressions For Prepared Piano And Tape / String Quartet Number One / Kuequenaku-Cambriola / Palm Boulevard and String Quartet No. 2 / Chaconne / Trio / Sonata Brevis
