This album was recorded in the grey area, baltimore, maryland between october 1999 and january 2001. The song silence beyond the horizon was written for the visual performance piece of the same name. It existed at st. johns church, baltimore, md. on 11/04/00 between 7:30pm-8:46pm. The version on this CD has been edited because of time limitations. The low rumbling in residual spirit was recorded for the audio installation "residual". The sound was captured by burying a microphone 4ft. In the ground and recording the audio directly to DAT tape.
