Originally from Bloomington, Indiana, Jason Slota is a freelance drummer and percussionist in the San Francisco bay area, splitting his time among touring, recording, and live performance. He has toured and performed all over the world with Femi Kuti, The Mountain Goats, The Japonize Elephants, Radiolab, Aphrodesia, John Vanderslice, and RadioLab. In San Francisco, he performs with Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, plays in the Beach Blanket Babylon revue, and is house drummer at the Tiny Telephone recording studio.
