Jay Goodwill has been a key member of the underground scene for 10 years and playing for the past six years, moving from New Jersey to attend college in Delaware. He quickly started building, producing, and developing the underground dance music scene. He helped produce the following events in the US with Dead by Dawn (production group in Philly) and Zenith (production group in Delaware). Through his DJ'ing, J. Goodwill helped establish the first underground college radio show in Delaware. He also toured with The Dubtribe Sound System in 1995 in addition to DJ'ing many rave events and guest DJ'ing at clubs In addition to producing parties and DJ'ing around the country, J. Goodwill started his own record label called Soul Society Records along with Trevor Lamont. With their first two releases, U-GOT ME GOING (The Sons of Soul-SS I /J. Goodwill + Sloppy) and PARIS NIGHTS (DJ Skip-SS2/J. Goodwill + Todd G Re@x), their label has proven to be a highly competitive force in music. Other remix work includes FEELIN' IT (IC World Music/J. Goodwill + Todd G. Remix) and 732/609EP (Plastic City/J. Goodwill + Sloppy). The duo of Jon and Scott Weiss (Sloppy) began djing in 1977, working their way from NY to Miami and back North again. After teaming up with their good griend Julio Flecha, they began Sloppy Productions. Spending so much time behind the decks led the two into the production arena with the underground hit "Can't Trust Nobody" remixed by the likes of Josh Wink, King Britt and Louis Vega. The white label sold so well it was then released and picked up by Select after their initial release. Although they had many forays into other musical genres - the continued to work on souful house, Their true passion in life. Sloppy met up with J. Goodwill in '91 on the local DJ circuit and formed a fast working relationship which has resulted in many musical endeavours, most notably the latest "Sons of Soul" release on Soul Society. After meeting with producer Julian Greft, Sloppy eventually merged with him as EDK (Empress Dowanger Kalective) with two downtempo releases: Subconscious Isotopes and Science of a Giant.
