A.k.a. Michael Schiniou TGW

Owner of the Oh'Zone Records label and original Ministry Of Sound DJ from England, United Kingdom. He began his career working as a Saturday boy in the Shady Deals record shop. He then got a show on a pirate station called 'Radio Fulham', where he went under the DJ name of DJ Mick. As well as the radio he also played their parties at a hotel in Kensington. He then joined the pirate station LWR (London-Wide Radio) in 1984. By this time he was working in the Spin Offs record shop (co-owned by Greg James, which he would later end up running. On his graveyard shift radio show he would mainly play uptempo jazz-funk and latin music, which is where the 'Jazzy' sobriquet comes from. When house music started finding it's way to the UK, Jazzy M would play the records in a section of his LWR radio show called "The Jackin' Zone", which the show would be latterly be called. He would also use the show to solicit demos from unsigned material, many of which would end up being signed to his Oz Zone label. He also worked in / owned the Mi Price and Vinyl Zone record shops.
