Folk and World
Jean's life has been devoted to music. In the 60s she ran two UK folk clubs, The Hazelslade in Cannock, and The Barrel Folk Club in Heath Hayes, (both is Staffordshire) and counts Jasper Carrott, Barbara Dickson and Billy Connolly, who performed at the venues, among her friends. Jean was also the resident singer at Connaught Hotel in Wolverhampton and The Royal in Walsall, both owned by Lord Harmar-Nicholls, father of actress Sue Nicholls, who plays Coronation Street's Audrey Roberts. Her daughter Mandy and son Kieron inherited her musical talents. In 2013 she appeared on Britain's Got Talent
