Musician of Rock and Jazz
A.k.a. Auguste De Antoni
French guitarist, born 1946, died 22 April 2015. Jean De Antoni started playing lead guitar in the 1960s in a jazz-rock progressive vein. To escape military service, he flew to Australia, then stayed in England and Switzerland, where he played in Mainhorse Airline. Back in France in 1976, he joined Magma (6), but was forced to leave the band one and a half year later. He then settled to Lyon and formed Villa Borghese with the cream of the jazz-rock/electro scene. Sadly, the band didn't last and Jean De Antoni then participated to several other projects, until the death of his wife that left him alone and discouraged. 1991 was the end of his musical career.
