Jennie (born Jennie Kim (제니김) on January 16, 1996 is a member of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK. Born in Korea, she lived in New Zealand for 5 years to study, and signed with YG Entertainment in August 2010 when she returned to South Korea. Fluent in Korean, Japanese, and English, she is often recognized as BLACKPINK's main rapper and vocalist. She is also the first member of BLACKPINK to debut as a solo artist, with 'SOLO' released on 12 November 2018.
