Jenny Gräf Sheppard (AKA Jenny Gräf Bibulah) is a musician, improviser, filmmaker and sound artist based in Baltimore, MD. Using radically different approaches to the use of sound in each project, Gräf has made films and music and sound pieces, which directly address things such as social spaces, cognition, age and gender. Her improvisiation and scored pieces include long-term investigations such as The Guitars Project and Proud Flesh. Since 1996 she has been performing and recording in Metalux with collaborator M.V. Carbon and more recently with Chiara Giovando in Harrius. She has recorded with John Wiese, Smegma, Carlos Giffoni, Evan Parker, Lee Culver, John Edwards and Paul Hession.
