Jenny Mae Leffel (1968 -2017) Jenny Mae Leffel performed in a band called Vibralux before going solo, recording under the name Jenny Mae. She released a split single with Guided By Voices in 1993, with Robert Pollard praising her as one of the finest songwriters he’d ever met. Her debut album There’s a Bar Around the Corner…Assholes was issued in 1995. Another full-length, Don’t Wait Up for Me, would follow in 1998 to critical success (pitchfork.com)
