Composer
A.k.a. Jens Jørgen Frederiksen
Danish traditional fiddler, musician, music director/teacher (1854-1943) - and a composer of dance tunes. Often credited as Jens Frederiksen, Als (meaning the village Als in East-Himmerland, Jutland). One of the most well-known Himmerland fiddlers of his time, with close connections to the Danish folk dancer movement from the late 1920s. He raised eight sons, all musicians too, and a photo of Jens Frederiksen and his eight sons is legendary.
