Jeremy Bowyer was head chorister and a Hammerstein Chanter in Southwark Cathedral Choir. He joined the choir when he was eight from the Prior Weston Primary School in the city of London and recorded an L.P. "Handel Arias" in May 1985 at the age of thirteen. He played the piano and the oboe and won a music scholarship to St. Paul's School, Barnes. Born in London, Jeremy studied organ, piano and harpsichord at the Royal Northern College of Music and Manchester University. After three years as Assistant Director of Music and Organist of Clifton College in Bristol, he returned to London to train as a tenor at Trinity College of Music with John Wakefield. Concert performances include The Creation (Haydn), Christmas Oratorio (Bach), Messiah (Handel), Petite Messe Solonelle (Rossini), Stabat Mater (Dvorak) and Carmina Burana (Orff). In 2001 he made his professional operatic debut in Opera Omnibus' production of The Haunted Manor by Moniuszko and was also a member of the Glyndebourne Festival Opera chorus in productions of Fidelio and Otello. Roles performed recently include Acis, Acis and Galatea (Handel) for Trinity College of Music and Remendado, Carmen (Bizet) for Vision Opera.
