Musician / Composer of Jazz
piano, composer Twenty-six years old French-born, Jeremy Hababou is an Israeli pianist and composer. He started learning the piano at the age of 17, and quickly developed a real passion for jazz. Jeremy had the opportunity to study with the pianist Omri Mor for two years. Later, he also learned under the guidance of Prof. Opher Brayer for two years. In 2010, he started to study at the Center For Jazz Studies in Tel Aviv, which allowed him to meet and perform with numerous Israeli musicians in Tel Aviv’s Jazz club. In August 2012, he met the talented French Jazz singer Anne Ducros, who helped to introduce him on the French jazz scene. She invited him several times to play in France, and to perform the first part of his concerts, at the Jazz Festival of Saint Rémy de Provence (September 2012), and thereafter at the Bobino Theater (November 2013). In July 2014, Jeremy is finalist of the Montreux Jazz Piano Solo international competition. Actually, he lives in France, frequents jazz clubs of the capital, and is invited to many festivals. Jeremy may be influenced by the works of jazz legends, such as Art Tatum or Thelonious Monk, but his compositions are the result of his experiences and various inspirations and are tinted by his vibrant personality, which brings a particular dimension to his music. from jeremyhababou.com
