A.k.a. Jerome Albert Evans Sr.

US singer. Former lead singer of the 60's R&B group the Furys (2), who had a minor hit in 1963 with "Zing! Went The Strings of My Heart", who went on to sing with traveling versions of The Coasters and The Drifters. Father of Jerome Evans. March 11, 1938 – November 30, 2003, died of a heart attack in Lancaster, CA at age 65.
