Classical bassoonist.
In addition to studies in Philadelphia and San Francisco in the United States, and later with the Czech bassoonist Rudolf Komorous, he was a resident fellow at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel Switzerland, where he specialized in the performance of early bassoon music on period instruments. Since 1972 he has been a member of the Pacific Wind Quintet, Professor in the School of Music at the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and a soloist in concerts around the world and for several radio/TV recordings.
