Jessica's Ascension are a German goth band who began at the end of 1998 under the name Jessica's Crime. Founded by songwriter Christian Roßbach (of Chassalla and Madre Del Vizio), the intention was to combine traditional UK gothrock with electro and dancefloor sounds. The first fruit of this fusion was Jessica's Crime's limited three-track EP-CD "Painted". At the end of 2001, Matthias Kreis joined the band on additional guitars and programming.
