Jessie Mae Robinson née Jessie Mae Booker (October 1, 1919 – October 26, 1966) was a songwriter who wrote popular songs for many blues and R & B singers. Among her best-known songs are "I Went to Your Wedding," "Keep It a Secret," "The Other Woman," "Blue Light Boogie," (with Louis Jordan) and "Let's Have a Party."Nina Simone covered Robinson's song "The Other Woman" for her 1959 album Nina Simone at Town Hall.Lana Del Rey covered Robinson's song "The Other Woman" for her 2014 album Ultraviolence.
