Spoken Word (Education, Spoken Word)
Anti-drug recording; it educates, and warns of the dangers of drug use among youth. Jevon Thompson was a professional drummer for more than 13 years; working and touring with musicians such as Duke Ellington, Mick Jagger, Marvin Gaye, and Sha Na Na. He was also a drug user and addict during those 13 years of his career. Nan Henderson was reporter and a political organizer since she was in high school. She was part of the political radicalism of the late 60's and early 70's, and she got into drugs partly because in those days it was a "political statement" of protest against "The System". Recorded live at: Medford Mid-high, Medford, Oregon.
