Jeye Severe, born Jamie Saville is a rapper born in Hull (1980), who moved to Peterborough at a young age. Jeye honed his skills as a Mc/Singer/Producer in his early teens and came to prominence with his debut singles Strange Fruit and Song of Solomon in 2005 which were released on the compilation albums giving the artist extensive exposure with the song played regularly on the Ras Kwame show on Radio1 & 1Xtra. Jeye followed that up with A Better Man released on white label again. Production on all three tracks was by Chat One a producer Jeye has worked closely with in the past. The high point of the year was performing at the Nelson Mandela tribute concert @ Hammersmith Apollo, alongside John Legend amongst others.
