A.k.a. Finley J. Brewer

Father of Gary Brewer (2) Finley J. Brewer Jr. is Gary Brewer's father and is the 4th generation of Brewers. He was born and raised in the music by his dad, Finley J. "Pap" Brewer Sr. (who played with the Original Carter Family in the 1920s). All of Finley's family played music. Finley Jr. started his music career in the 1970s by getting together with George Tabor and forming Jim (Finley J.) & George and Foxfire. They played local festivals (often the same as Gary and His Kentucky Ramblers) but were also honored to have opened for such notable artists such as Johnny Rodriguez and George Jones. Finley was always a part of Gary's band as his bus driver and road manager but officially started performing with them in 1988.
