(1911-1963) Influential American country music publisher-producer. Successor to Jack Stapp as manager of the Grand Ole Opry House after managing A&R for its precursor, the WSM(650AM) Barndance. Co-founder, with Webb Pierce, of the Cedarwood Publishing Co. Inc. group later managed by his sons Bill Denny (3) and John E. Denny until its eventual sale to Mel Tillis.
