Jim Elliott guitar player and professional musician has been playing guitar for over 40 years in bands all across Canada and the US with such names as Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Smiley Bates as well as other professional superstars in the country music industry. Jim Elliott grew up in Nova Scotia Canada and like the rest of the Elliott family started playing music at a very young age. At the age of 10 he played the fiddle on the Don Messer show (Don Messer's jubilee) using an old fiddle that Don had given him to learn to play on. As the years went by Jim taught himself to play most stringed instruments including the banjo, mandolin, bass, and guitar. Jim co-wrote a number of songs during the years he spent with Johnny Cash in the 1980's. Jim has also crossed paths and or performed with many country greats such as Randy Travis, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Charlie Pride, and Roy Clark from the TV show "Hee Haw"
