Leon René (b.February 6, 1902, Covington, Louisiana, USA – d.May 30, 1982, Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American music composer of R&B and rock and roll songs and a record producer in the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's. He sometimes used the songwriting pseudonym Jimmie Thomas or Jimmy Thomas. He also established several record labels. Brother of Otis Rene.
