Jazz/blues pianist from Chicago. Born May 1901 in South Keene, Kentucky. Died June 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, from meningitis. He recorded dozens of piano rolls in the early 1920s and began cutting records in 1924. He appeared on hundred of small group recording sessions for Vocalion, Paramount and Champion.
