This album features edited highlights of a 5-hour radio programme broadcast By B.B.C. Radio Newcastle, 9.30 am to 2.30 pm on Friday May 6th 1977. It includes, in addition to the voices of the President and the Prime Minister, those of Mr. James Denyer, Ron Small, George Maddison, Beau Allen, Dick Irwin, the music of the Amoco Band (Conductor Dennis Wilby). This album was produced in partnership with RCA of Washintton and Newcastle City Council as a charitable venture to raise funds for the Friendship Force, a body inspired by President and Mrs Carter to promote international goodwill through the exchange of citizens between cities in the U.S. and cities elsewhere in the world. The first such exchange took place between Atlanta, Georgia, capital of the President's home state and Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England, July 4th-July 15th 1977. Sleeve Courtesy Of Garrodprint Ltd
