Soul singer - songwriter - producer - multi-organist Born on 18 November 1936 in Harlem, New York City, U.S. Died on 27 July 1973 after complications from a kidney removal surgery. In 1965 he became the first African-American performing artist to write, produce and sing commercial jingles for the advertising industry. He was a writing partner to Buddy Scott in the late 60's.
